About the College
The College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas was established in 2017 within Basra University of Oil and Gas. It is one of the specialized colleges in the oil industry sector, aiming to prepare graduates with diverse skills, particularly in fields related to oil and gas. The college also seeks to achieve a distinguished and prominent position in managing the oil sector at both the local and international levels, by providing a comprehensive education based on scientific and practical foundations, striving for leadership and excellence according to international standards, and offering an academic program that balances theoretical knowledge with practical application in line with global requirements.
College Objectives:
- To contribute to the scientific advancement of the petroleum industry by preparing qualified researchers capable of producing scientific research, studies, and analytical and applied research projects, and by holding regular scientific seminars and discussion panels addressing the most important contemporary petroleum issues and the challenges facing the country.
- To prepare graduates with the scientific qualifications to work in various specializations, particularly within the petroleum sector, thereby contributing to supplying the petroleum sector, whether public or private, with qualified personnel prepared administratively and economically, and equipped with the fundamentals of work in various specializations.
- To develop educational curricula to keep pace with modern developments in the scientific disciplines taught by the college.
- To support and serve the community by providing petroleum-related economic and administrative consultations and studies, as well as training and qualification programs to various government agencies and public and private institutions.
- Strengthening scientific and cultural relations and ties with colleges and specialized sectors in the field of modern petroleum, administrative, economic, and environmental sciences in Iraqi, Arab, regional, and international universities, research centers and bodies, and institutions.
