Dr. Devaraj Anayaka

Dr. Devaraj Anayaka, currently working as an Assistant Professor & Chair, Quality Assurance & Accreditation Committee, College of Business, University of Buraimi, Sultanate of Oman, since October 2022 till now. Dr. Devaraj Anayaka, work experience includes 15 years in Academics. His area of research and teaching includes International Business, E-Commerce, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Corporate Financial Reporting. He has published 18 research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His educational qualification includes a Ph.D. from the University of Mysore, India, 2016, a Post Graduation from the University of Mysore, India, 2008, B.Com from the University of Mysore, India, 2006. Prof. Dr. Abdelheq Lachachi

Prof.Dr. Abdelheq Lachachi is an Associate Professor of Management with extensive academic and research experience across several universities in the Arab world. He earned his Ph.D. in Management in 2014 from the University of Tlemcen, Algeria.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lachachi has worked at the University of Tlemcen in Algeria, Jouf University in Saudi Arabia, and the University of Buraimi in Oman. With over 14years of teaching experience, he has taught a wide range of courses, including Human Resource Management, Production Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Strategic Management, Leadership, Marketing, and Knowledge Management.
Dr. Lachachi has participated in more than twenty national and international conferences and has published numerous research articles along with six books in various fields of management. He is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.

Prof. Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Jawarin

Prof. Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Jawarin has been a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the University of Basrah since 2024. He currently serves as the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics / Qurna.

He received his PhD in Economics from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah in 2011 and obtained a post-doctoral degree in Germany in 2017.

He has authored seven academic, supplementary, and scholarly books, including “The Competitiveness of Arab Countries: An Analytical and Comparative Study with Special Reference to Iraq”, published by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in 2013, and “The History of Economic Crises in the World”, co-authored with Prof. Dr. Nabil Jaafar Abdul Redha and published by Dar Al-Kitab Al-Jami‘i – Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates in 2014.

He has participated in numerous local and international conferences in Egypt, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Germany, and Spain.

He has published many research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals in both Arabic and English. He has also supervised and examined numerous higher diploma, master’s, and doctoral theses.

Prof. Assistant Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed earned his Ph.D. (2006), MBA (1998), and Bachelor’s degree (1994) in Business Administration from the University of Basrah. He serves as a Lecturer at the Industrial Management for Oil and Gas College. He is the author of a book on port operations funded by the League of Arab States and has published several peer-reviewed studies in management and organizational development. He received the prestigious Sharjah Award for Best Doctoral Thesis in Administrative Sciences (2007). His research interests include strategic and industrial management, organizational culture, environmental management systems, and performance improvement within the oil and gas sector in Iraq.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saddam Abdul-Sahib

Assistant Professor at the Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center, University of Basra. He holds a PhD from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, obtained in 2014. He served as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basra, from November 2018 to October 2022. She holds a PhD from the University of Basrah, College of Administration and Economics, with a specialization in macroeconomics. She has been serving as a faculty member at the University of Basrah – College of Administration and Economics, Department of Economics, up to the present time.

She has taught several core courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Macroeconomics, Economic Thought, Economic Development, and others. Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Karim Al-Asadi

He works as a faculty member at the University of Basrah for Oil and Gas – College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, where he currently serves as the Head of the Petroleum Accounting Department.

He is a member of academic promotion committees and has reviewed numerous research papers for academic promotion and scientific publication.

He chaired the Accounting Department at Al-Shatt Al-Arab University from 2020 to 2024, and he is currently the Head of the Petroleum Accounting Department at the University of Basrah for Oil and Gas.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tariq Tawfeeq Yousif Alabdullah

Mr. Ali Lazim

Mr. Ali Lazim graduated at the top of his Master's class. He currently works as an Assistant Lecturer at Basrah University for Oil and Gas, Department of Oil and Gas Economics. His expertise centers on secure data retrieval, leading him to develop PP-CBIR, a privacy-preserving CBIR strategy for accessing encrypted images (ciphertext) in untrustworthy cloud environments. This system uses aggregated hybrid feature vectors secured via encryption, with a recursive method employed to create an index tree for rapid searching. PP-CBIR demonstrates superior retrieval precision and faster indexing than previous systems.
